Facial

A facial is a comprehensive skin treatment typically administered by our licensed aesthetician, aimed at cleansing, exfoliating, nourishing, and hydrating the facial skin. This multi-step process includes deep cleansing, steaming, exfoliation (either physical or chemical), pore extractions, and the application of specialized masks or serums to enhance skin health, tone, and texture.

Purpose and steps

Facials are designed to address specific skin concerns such as acne, dryness, and signs of aging, and generally involve a series of steps including consultation, cleansing, exfoliation, steaming, extraction of impurities, facial massage, and the application of masks or moisturizing serums.

Types and benefits

Various types of facials, such as classic European facials, HydraFacials, chemical peels, and LED light therapy, offer distinct benefits, including improved skin texture, enhanced hydration, diminished fine lines, and increased collagen production.

Procedure

Typically lasting between 30 to 90 minutes, these treatments provide a deeper clean than at-home skincare routines, although they are primarily intended for maintenance rather than the treatment of severe medical skin conditions.

Preparation

It is advisable to arrive with a clean face, free of heavy makeup, and to inform the aesthetician of any skin allergies or conditions. While the experience is generally relaxing, some discomfort may be felt during extractions.

Aftercare

Post-treatment care includes avoiding heavy makeup and harsh products, as well as ensuring the skin remains hydrated for 24 to 48 hours.
