What is a neuromodulator like B-T-X which is used as an anti-wrinkle agent?
Neuromodulator is a substance produced by a bacterium . In order to be used as a drug, it needs to be isolated, purified and stabilized is a sterile condition. It is supplied as a dried powder( commonly known as B-t-x) mostly in a vacuumed sterile vial requiring mixing with normal saline before injection.
What is the mechanism of action of B-t-x?
It blocks nerve impulses to the muscles responsible for facial movements like frowning, squinting, and smiling. Therefore, it smooths dynamic wrinkles on face resulting in rejuvenated face.

You can see the results of your injection between 3 to 7 days after treatment. You are required to return for a touch up treatment 2 weeks after treatment. The anti-wrinkle effects of B-t-x lasts between 3 to 6 months for most existing brands in market.
